Once upon a time...

Once upon a time, there were few friends who thought life was all about having fun and being together..

There was a Kalpak, who gave shelter to everyone...
There was an Abhi, who taught everyone many new things...
There was a Milind, who usually made sense...
There was a Bobby, who usually didn't...
And there was a Pravin, who tried to grow up with them...

But then times changed..
Everyone got to their business..
Realized life is more than jus having fun..

Now...
There is no Kalpak, to spend nights with...
There is no Abhi, to learn the wild(!) things..
There is no Milind, to... mmm.. okay.. to make sense..
There is no Bobby, to.. Just be Himself...
and there is a grown-up Pravin, to move ahead...

They say, Life Moves On...And I say... why so fast?

Is Twitter the next Google!?

No.. I'm not exaggerating.

I actually had such an experience yesterday. I was trying to connect to ICICI netbanking site but that site didn't come up for a long time. I tried "Google"ing for any issue with it, but in vain. Then my friend told me that he read some tweet about major ICICI netbanking problem. So I searched on Twitter, and hoilaaa.. I got hundreds of tweets mentioning the issue with more still pouring in.. So tell me who won here? Definitely Twitter!

With this micro-blogging thing, more people tend to share info faster than having posted it somewhere else on the net and then waiting for Google Crawler to bless it. Of course the info is not exhaustive but big deal! We are getting what we want.

What say?

Go.. Get a mentor..

It's official!

No matter wherever you are in your life or career, you "need" a mentor. There is nothing wrong in having a mentor or "following" someone, for it will only add to your worth of knowledge, ability, skills and yes, confidence.

I've been blessed with having good mentors in my little life so far. I have them in my friends, in my colleagues. I'm not bragging that I've achieved a lot, but I can definitely say that I've achieved more than I could have had without them.

Reminds you of old Gurukul days with the students following their Gurus faithfully? Well.. not surprising that system was a hit! After all, all you need between yourself and your mentor is Trust. And I bet those advises do magic (moreover, its FREE!!!)

So, if you don't have one then what are you waiting for?

Go.. Get a mentor...

Is there God?

People tend to start every new thing by taking the name of God.

This is my way of doing it.

But hold... I'm not gonna thank The God or like that, but in contrast, I'm gonna question His presence, His importance, His impact on my (or for that matter, anybody's) life.

To start with, let me question what exactly is God?
- Super powerful entity?
- One who is capable of fulfilling anybody's wishes?
- and so on...

That's what the picture of God was represented to me(and to most of us) since our childhood. Like, if you do bad, God will do bad with you. If you do good, God will pay you back. Just GIVE-n-TAKE! And interestingly, I started believing(!) and praising God simply out of fear of He doing bad with me. I started praying 'cos I dint want to fail in exam, or get beaten by Dad, or India lose to Pakistan, and numerous such reasons. And that's precisely what people around me (which includes you, you and yes, you too) seem to be doing. They praise the God, just to make sure that He keeps them happy, safe, prosperous, healthy. And the Almighty seems to be fulfilling wishes of those who come to his feet and messing with those who don't. That's so rational!

You don't seem to be agreeing with me, right?

Then why do you thank God for all the good things happening to you(which majorly involve your hard work)?
Why do you blame it on God if something bad happens with or around you?
Why do you think an Atheist is an idiot, over-confident, moron?
Why?

I've asked these questions to many believers and got answers like "you-will-know-it-yourself-one-day". Well.. I honestly can't comment on whether such day would ever come.

By the way, I am a believer, a self-believer. I think that's what it takes to be successful in life. I mean how can one leave his worries to someone else to take care of. It's your life. You are the only one responsible for it. It's You who should be credited for your success and You who should be blamed for the failures, not The God! Give him a break.

Whew... enough for now I guess. Will be glad to receive any responses if this rings any bells in your mind.

Cheers.
